Field of Marigolds is a creative reclamation space for survivors of SA and DV who are ready to find joy after trauma.

Through art, community, storytelling, and support, we help survivors remember they are more than what happened to them.

Our long-term vision is to grow into a nonprofit that offers survivor resources, community outreach, creative healing programs, and connections to therapy, advocacy, and practical support for those leaving unsafe situations and rebuilding their lives.

Every purchase, membership, donation, and piece of art sold helps support this mission and move us closer to building a sustainable nonprofit rooted in healing, joy, and survivor support.

About Us

Field of Marigolds was founded by author, artist, and survivor Jana Jimenez as a creative reclamation space for survivors of SA and DV who are ready to find joy after trauma.

The name was inspired by Marigold Volkova, a character from Jana’s book Veiled in Ashes, part of The Veiled Trilogy. Marigold is a survivor who slowly reclaims herself through art, beauty, courage, and creative expression. Her story became more than fiction. It became a mirror.

Writing Marigold became the catalyst for Jana’s own healing, forcing her to confront decades of SA she had buried, minimized, and suppressed. Through that process, Jana discovered what so many survivors know in their bones: sometimes healing begins when we finally find a safe way to tell the truth.

Field of Marigolds was born from that truth.

Through art, storytelling, community, and support, Field of Marigolds creates safe and uplifting spaces for survivors to reconnect with themselves, explore creativity, and begin to bloom again. We believe healing does not always have to look clinical or heavy. Sometimes it looks like paint on your hands, laughter at a table, color returning to your life, and the quiet realization that joy still belongs to you.

Our long-term vision is to grow into a nonprofit that provides survivor resources, community outreach, creative healing programs, and connections to therapy, advocacy, and practical support for those leaving unsafe situations and rebuilding their lives.

Every purchase, membership, donation, and art sale helps support this mission and moves us closer to creating a lasting resource for survivors.
